Catalyzing change and the profound potential of our collective impact has been top of mind for me lately. The paradox of learning being inherently social, and our country’s predominant model of education being so isolating is not serving educators, leaders, or most importantly, learners.
The good news is solutions are within our reach. Today’s systems and structures are human-made, which means we can re-make those systems and structures together. What’s more? There are models throughout the country that show us what optimal learning experiences can and should look like.
Now is our moment to come together and make them a reality so all learners can thrive and actively engage with the world as their best selves.
I’m pleased to share that Catalyst is going from quarterly to monthly given the rapid rate of change and consensus happening in learner-centered education. Enclosed in this month’s Catalyst you’ll find some promising models and ideas to boost connectedness, diffusion of innovation, and our collective impact on today’s learners.
Let’s build upon what we’ve started!
Yours in learner-centered collaboration, Devin
