I’m headed home from New Orleans after a few amazing days at the ISTELive 22 conference. In addition to some incredible sessions and thought provoking conversations, it was a treat to connect with many of our friends and make some new ones. Plus, we got to enjoy some live music in NOLA after the conference!
This was the first time that ISTELive has been hosted in-person since June of 2019 and Richard Culatta, ISTE CEO, gave us all a warm welcome during his opening remarks. He acknowledged that, since Covid, the proportion of school districts with 1:1 devices for students increased from 50 percent to 90 percent. He highlighted that although access is important, how we use those devices matters just as much. Culatta noted:
“The least interesting thing we can use technology for is to deliver content. The most interesting thing we can use it for is to connect people.”
With Gratitude,
Katie
