Dear Educator,
You heard from Devin a few days ago about his favorite reads, and we loved seeing the recommendations come in about books you think he should add to his reading list.
Today, we're moving from CEO to CIO with Katie Martin's top three books she would share with any learner-centered educator looking to improve their practice.
As a two-time author herself, Katie knows a good book when she reads one. And, with an aspiration to create experiences that empower all learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and mindsets to thrive in a changing world, Katie knows these three books will help you do the same in your learning community:
- The End of Average by Todd Rose - "We all have jagged profiles and we need to see & value the whole person."
- The Art of Coaching by Elena Aguilar - "We need more coaching and guidance in education and this is a great resource to do just that."
- Street Data by Shane Safir and Jamila Dugan "We need to expand our view of what data matters and helps centers learners."
Now that you've heard from Katie, what book do you think she should add to her list in the new year? No topics or genres are off limits!
